Frequently Asked Questions

Microchem is glad to share its knowledge and skills with clients and companies in need of testing services.  Some questions we receive frequently, so we have posted answers below.

Microchem maintains adequate staff and resources to ensure rapid test turnaround times (TAT).  In general, our non-GLP studies are initiated within just a few days of receipt of samples and payment, and are reported within one to two weeks.  Rush service is available.  If your company is in a hurry with a testing project, let us know and we can move quickly to ensure on-time completion.

Microchem Laboratory has decades of experience navigating the complex web of federal and state regulations covering antimicrobial products including disinfectants, sanitizers, antimicrobial devices, and treated objects.  The lab is glad to share this knowledge with prospective clients.  In fact, identifying a product's most likely regulatory classification is one of the first things we do in any project.

Microchem offers a broad array of testing services, but sometimes companies need testing beyond the scope of what we can provide.  In those instances, we are glad to share the names and contact information of laboratories we have found to be reliable.

Microchem understands and respects the proprietary nature of innovative technologies.  Our executive team can provide your company with a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), or will review your company's NDA then sign if reasonable.

In 2014, Dr. Benjamin Tanner acquired all assets of Microchem Laboratory with the exception of historical GLP studies.  Dr. Miner is happily retired, and spends his time at his peach orchard in Gainesville.  Dr. Tanner now oversees all operations of Microchem Laboratory.
