US EPA recently posted to its website draft guidance concerning testing at the lower certified limit (LCL) of active ingredient concentration.  For companies unfamiliar with EPA disinfectant registration, the “certified limits” specify the permissible active ingredient variance from the nominal (label-listed) concentration.  Per the recent draft guidance, EPA would like to see virtually all tests run at the LCL, except for certain additional microbes.  For those additional microorganisms, Antimicrobial Test Laboratories recommends testing at below the nominal active ingredient concentration.

If your company has any questions about the new draft guidance, give us a call and we will be glad to discuss it in more detail.
